I recommend going anywhere else besides here!!! I consider myself very fortunate to have very good medical insurance. I had a minor procedure scheduled here. This procedure was similar to a procedure I previously had at this facility and was pre-certified by my insurance. I was contacted today by the facility and told I would need to put an almost $500 down payment before they would perform the procedure. I explained my insurance pre-certified this and I have already met my deductible. They said it was a new policy to require this down payment before any procedure. I refused to do that and they cancelled my procedure. PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD DO NOT USE ALLIED PHYSICIANS SURGERY CENTER!!!!!
Ok, so the surgery center itself was fine other than a few minor complaints, which were no big deal to me. The nursing staff was quite good. Their billing department was just a nightmare, though. Seems like the staff relies on their computer systems and fail to use any common sense. After surgery, I was sent bills, made two payments, and was paid up in full. Then, guess what? About 6 weeks later then sent me an ENTIRE refund with no explanation - just a statement saying that the account was overpaid. Whatever, I figured that it was a mistake. Sure enough, nearly two more months go by, and their sending me the bill (that I had already paid in full once!!!) again! Only this time, the statements are saying that the account is "seriously delinquent" and being processed for transfer to a collection agency! Well, maybe you should have kept my money the first time. I take threats to my financial standing very seriously - this company is obviously a disorganized mess, and I would never go back.
I could not have asked for a more relaxing and caring environment to have surgery in. From the receptionist, nurses, surgical staff, and the doctors, I felt relaxed and confident in the people around me.
I recently had CPT surgery on both hands three weeks apart at this facility, great Dr.(Dr. Rozzi), anistiseologists, nurses and receptionists. Nice and clean as well. Would not hesitate to go back.
Terrible billing. Approval through insurance pre-surgery, then magically my surgery is considered "not medically necessary"
